We enjoyed the island hopping trip which started in Santa Cruz. After a few hours there we took the speedboat to Isabella Island which was a lovely place to start our adventure. We were met on the dock upon arrival and escorted to our hotel for a few hours rest and then began our tour to Los Tuneles which is an amazing place above water and below. We seen the blue footed boobies doing their mating dance which was a highlight. During the snorkel trip we seen massive turtles, sharks, seahorses and many other types of aquatic life. During our time on Isabella Island we took the volcano walks, went to the tortoise breeding centre and took part in other boat/snorkeling trips where we seen the penguins, Frigate birds, the aquatic iguanas and Darwin finches. Everything was well planned with very little free time. Another highlight for us was Santa Fe Island. We swam with the sea lions and the water was full of all kinds of fish. We had one extra day in Quito where we guided by Angel. An excellent quide who knew the history of the country and of Quito so well. We learned a lot that day and enjoyed his tour immensely.
